Health and Safety
Note To Parents
This program is not a one size fits all... If a parent consistently fails to adhere to the established rules and regulations of the childcare program, it will result in the termination of their child's enrollment. The rules and regulations are put in place to ensure the safety, well-being, and smooth functioning of the daycare environment. It is crucial for all parents to respect and follow these guidelines to create a positive and harmonious atmosphere for all children involved. Failure to comply with the rules may lead to the decision to terminate childcare services in order to maintain the integrity and standards of the program.
Important Rules
-
Parents are required to wear their mask the whole time that they are in the childcare facility.
-
Children who wear pull-ups: the required type are the ones with the Velcro sides.
-
Children who come to childcare with their own (sippy-cups), the (cups) must be non-leak.
-
Children cannot bring outside food/toy inside the facility.
Maintaining Short Fingernails
Maintaining short fingernails for children is an important aspect of their overall safety and well-being. Short nails reduce the risk of scratching themselves or others, preventing potential infections or injuries. Trimming children's nails regularly is essential to ensure their comfort and minimize any discomfort they may experience. By keeping their nails short, we can promote good hygiene practices and instill a sense of personal care and responsibility in children from an early age. It is a requirement.

Birthday Celebrations
In our daycare program, I prioritize the health and safety of all children, and as such, I have made the decision not to celebrate birthdays involving food due to allergies. We understand that allergies can range from mild to severe, and it is crucial to create an inclusive environment where all children can participate without the risk of allergic reactions. By abstaining from birthday celebrations involving food, I aim to protect the well-being of children with allergies and foster an atmosphere of inclusivity, understanding, and support.

Hair Clips
To ensure the utmost safety of the children in my care, I have implemented a policy that restricts the use of hair beads or small bow rats. These small objects pose a potential choking hazard, especially for young children who may explore the world by putting things in their mouths. By eliminating the presence of such objects, I can greatly reduce the risk of choking incidents and create a secure environment for all children. My priority is to provide a nurturing and safe space where children can learn, play, and grow without unnecessary risks or hazards.

Children Who Have Special Needs
If your child has been diagnosed with a special need, such as ADHD, Autism, Asthma, or any other specific diagnosis, it is crucial that you inform me before enrolling in the daycare program. This information allows me to thoroughly assess and understand your child's unique requirements and develop a personalized plan to accommodate their needs. By being aware of your child's diagnosis in advance, to determine if this program is adequately trained, resources are available, and appropriate support systems are in place to meet the child needs. My primary focus is to create an inclusive and nurturing environment where all children can flourish and receive the specific care they need to thrive.
